| After the Digimon Emperor was
defeated, Davis and Veemon wanted to get Kari and Gatomon to like them
more, and Davis decided that they liked T.K. and Patamon because Patamon
could digivolve. Davis tried all sorts of things to make Veemon
digivolve but it didn't work. Eventually, when they were being chased by
a very large, very angry Tortomon, Veemon digivolved to ExVeemon to save
Davis.
